Accessibility Statement

tap & type UG strives to make this website accessible to everyone — including those who use assistive technologies or who have permanent or temporary impairments. This statement openly documents what has already been implemented and where we currently see limitations.

Scope

This statement applies to the website at the domain vertoo.de. It does not cover the application itself (e.g. app.vertoo.de) or other subdomains, for which separate statements may apply.

Compliance status

We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at conformance level AA. No external accessibility audit has been carried out to date — the statements below are based on our own review and common best practices.

What has been implemented

• Semantic HTML structure with a consistent heading hierarchy (h1 → h2 → h3) and exactly one <main> area per page
• Skip link for jumping directly to the main content (visible on the first press of Tab)
• Full keyboard operability of all interactive elements (links, navigation, filter tabs, forms)
• ARIA labels for the module filters (role="tab", aria-selected) and the document's language declaration (lang="de")
• Decorative icons are marked as such (aria-hidden="true" on emoji containers) — screen readers skip them, so that only the textual labels are read aloud
• Labelled form fields with associated <label> elements
• Responsive design — the site works on desktop, tablet and smartphone
• PWA-capable — installable as an app on any device
• Plain-text email addresses without any JavaScript dependency, directly accessible to screen readers
• External links with rel="noopener", opening in a new tab
• Alternative text for images that convey content (partner logos)

Known limitations

We are being honest: there are areas that we have not yet reviewed systematically or that have room for improvement:

• No external accessibility audit has been carried out by a specialised body.
• The colour contrasts have not been checked consistently against the WCAG AA thresholds. Some subtle informational texts (e.g. footnotes beneath the pricing section) may not reach the ideal level.
• The website is available in German only.

Voluntary statement

As a micro-enterprise within the meaning of Section 3 (3) of the German Accessibility Reinforcement Act (BFSG), tap & type UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is not obliged to design this website to be accessible. This statement is made voluntarily — we consider accessibility to be a foundation of good web design, regardless of any legal obligation.
